The Gibbs Sisters are Featured Contributors in The International Girl Gang Encyclopedia

For the 2017 Angoulême International Comics Festival in Angoulême, France, The Gibbs Sisters joined an international group of women comic organizations including women from FEMSKT (Finland), Comic Book Slumber Party and Laydeez do Comics (UK), and the United States' own Ladies Night for The International Girl Gang Encyclopedia.

The sisters teamed again with frequent collaborators, artist, J.M. Tolman and editor Lauren Burke for the piece, "The Creative Girl's Guide to Battle."

On March 26, 2016, with the help of 442 backers, The Gibbs sisters raise over $17,000 via Kickstarter to help bring the first two issues of their Steampunk comic book series, "The Invention of E.J. Whitaker" to life.

"Pre Puptial Agreement" a screenplay finalist at The 2014 Lady Filmmakers Festival

As a finalist at the 6th Annual Lady Filmmakers Festival, Shawnee´and Shawnelle's short screenplay "Prepuptial Agreement' received a live stage reading at Beverly Hills' Aidikoff Theater. Directed by the legendary Romell Foster-Owen, the performance features the remarkable, new talents of Ary Katz and Gladys Noyth.

The Gibbs Sisters debuted two new Fashion Forward books at the first annual Comic Arts LA festival. CALA is the brainchild of artists Jen Wang, Angie Wang, Iris Jong, and Jake Mumm and featured a host of notable Los Angeles comic creators including Hope Larson, Cecil Castellucci and Sam Alden.

The Gibbs Sisters announed as 2011 USC Guy Hanks and Marvin Miller Screenwriting Fellows

Shawnee' and Shawnelle's feature-length screenplay "A Star is Reborn" won the writing team a place in the prestigious Guy Hanks and Marvin Miller Screenwriting (Cosby) Program, a writing fellowship at the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
